Actually, refugees have a very positive effect on the economy, and there is absolutely no history of refugee status being used to get terrorists in this country. Many, many thousands of refugees have come into this country in the last decade and none of them have commited a single act of terror. The process of becoming a refugee is a very long and arduous one. If the terrorists want to sneak in they will do it the easy way - student, travel and/or work visas.

Welcome to Texas refugees, ignore the ignorant loud mouths ...

It's not courageous, honorable or moral to let these people in; its just plain stupid. What is the upside or benefit to American citizens? It makes some liberals feel good about themselves?

Letting these refugees in is another example of how our politicians (of both parties) do not represent the best interests of Americans.
I am not a 'liberal' by most measures and I find the rhetoric completely non-Christian/pseudo-Christian. In that regard (atheist/non-Christian), I suppose it is okay to want to keep a religious group out based on demographics, but I would never want to have to have to explain it to God.

Exactly. The US has one of the most, if not the most, thorough refugee vetting process of any nation. What the US needs to worry about are those here on visa and the exportation of Wahabbism, you know, the sect that financially sponsors most of the Islamic radicalization in this world and happens to be the sect of our best buds, the Saudi royal family.

See, I can appreciate this. Rather than deal with all the bull [mod cut]rhetoric from conservatives, they might as well cut to the chase and say what they mean, whether it's toward victims of civil war, gays, women, non-white people, non-Christians, etc.
