There are spatial diagrams I've seen before that show the racial demographics of the metropolitan areas. Houston is pretty diverse in the SW quadrant of town where most Houstonians--and the most populated part of Texas--resides. There are so many different colored dots in the highly populated areas, compared to Dallas and Atlanta.

Dallas is segregated. The northern half is the "Dallas" that everyone refers to and is mostly White and where the Asians live. The rural southern half is where the Black people live. Same with Atlanta.

I heard that Houston was a fun place but not good to raise a family and settle down like Dallas is ..is that true ? Being that I am single I do plan on settling down when I move to texas (hopefully)
Missouri City is known as the black, middle class mecca in Texas, similar to Atlanta. Most of the black professionals in Greater Houston live in the Missouri City/Sugar Land area with their families in single family homes.

I doubt you would want to live in southern Dallas with you family. (See below.)

The places ive goggled are Sugar Land , Missouri city , Lancaster , Cedar hill ? do you guys have any person info or opinions on those citys do they have some of the qualities I named?
Sugar Land/Missouri City are affluent suburbs (Sugar Land being home to First Colony) and the closest suburbs to the job centers of Galleria, Greenway, and Downtown (15-20 miles away) and a straight shot on US90A/Main Street to the Texas Medical Center (10-15 miles).

Lancaster and Cedar Hill are in the lightly populated, predominantly Black, southern part of Dallas County. They are on the opposite side of town as the popular suburbs of Plano/Frisco in (North) Dallas that is comparable to Sugar Land/Missouri City. The southern part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is lightly populated and very rural/small town.

Good luck, you aren't going to get rich doing social work. Also the education was NOT CHEAP to say the least. We have it consolidated down to $600 per month.

Stay away from the non profit places, they have all been terrible to her. State or County Government seems to be the way to go, also Hospitals. But they will not touch you until you get a MSW or Clinical with a State License.

Dallas is very diverse like Houston with Houston have a very slight edge maybe 1 or 2% difference.

Dallas has lots nice areas all over including the southern parts such as Cedar Hill and Desoto. These areas are not rural they are very developed and filled with middle class blacks. My opinion better than Missouri City.

I want my kids to LOVE texas and not want to move back to CA so I want a city that is ALIVE UPBEAT... malls, movies restaurants, amusement parks you know fun for teens where they will love there teenage life. IF they were unhappy I would def come back to Cali..

Plenty of activities for kids.
