Are there smaller cities and towns around El Paso? The only one I know off off-hand is Socorro.

Juarez actually has like three times the population of El Paso (although it is much smaller in square miles...)

Anyway, yes there are some "towns" outsides of EP, but there really isn't much to them. Nothing much to do/see there. Nowhere to shop. No cute little small town downtowns to stroll around.

Mesilla, NM is a smaller town near Las Cruces, but it's in the greater El Paso area. Sunland Park, Canutillo, Anthony, Chaparral, Vado, Clint, to name a few.

Population here is heavily concentrated in the city of El Paso itself, in contrast with Dallas or Phoenix in which the namesake city is dwarfed by the surrounding suburbs.
