The Bryan/College Station area is consistently listed as having one of the lowest unemployment rates in the Texas, so I have to assume that the economy is peachy there.

Texas A&M is a big player in the metro area because of its size relative to the total population. I'd start by looking at their website and contacting someone from the U who acts as a community/business liaison.

The area is quite conservative and I would guess that it's easy to get things done. In other words, probably not much regulation on anything compared to a city like Austin. But then Austin has a fantastic business environment so sometimes regulations help because they keep a city desireable and help keep infrastructure functional, which attracts the type of people who start businesses and/or become good employees.

Just rambling. Hope you can get some better info than I'm giving you!
