Have you gotten info on the new changes for the TRS health care for retired users?
Are you concerned about what the Legislature is going to do or more likely NOT do to correct the flaws in the finance and benefit areas?

I have paid for Tier 3 coverage for myself and my husband since I took early retirement at 55
Not cheap and now that my husband has retired and his business offered no healthcare coverage, we both use TRS-Care as our Medicare supplemental policy and Part D drug coverage...

Very concerned about the ongoing coverage because looks like we are going to be forced out of TRSCare because increased costs will be disproportionately placed on Medicare A-B eligible retired teachers...

If you aren't a retired teacher but know someone who is and has TRS Care health insurance, just make sure they understand the crisis that is looming...
Current teachers will be affected as well if they anticipate teaching to retirement--because this will be the system they depend on..whether or not they are Medicare eligible and if Medicare is still there...

And this is a TEXAS issue more than health care in general...please don't move the thread.
