Hi-
I've been to San Angelo only once (9.12.04), as a TX TECH undergrad.
I went with my last roomate from Tech, via Snyder, b/c I'd never been to that speedtrap before.
It was a wonderful trip b/c I lied to Last Roomate Brian about how far
San Angelo was from our location somewhere past Snyder (it's 94 miles from that point & I told him it was right down the road!!) He didn't talk to me for days but now we're still friends & years later, he agrees this was a funny prank for one pulling
We ate at Franco's which we both concede is the town's highlight.
We did not see or even know about the Train Museum...he's not very museum-y anyway. In another post about San Angelo, I asked if the train museum was worth the drive from Dallas/McKinney...no one knows.
I'm feeling nostalgic for Franco's & San Angelo but it's unclear if
I'll ever return.
I'm living & working in McKinney which is quite a haul from San Angelo!!
