You can get a low-quality lakefront property (as in the house is a dump) on Lake Brownwood for less than $100k. For $300k in that area, you'd live like a king.

Huh. I didn't think Lake Worth would fit into $300K but it looks like it does. Amazing considering the area - how other properties have skyrocketed.

Just stumbled across this:

5503 Water View Dr, Granbury, TX 76048 - realtor.com®

My suspicion would be that this is an area of the lake where the "waterfront" comes and goes with the current water level.
