FYI, Davidian headquarters, Mount Carmel Center, weren't in Waco but part of McLennan county west of the town. It's like something happening in Sand Branch and Highland Park getting the bad reputation for it.

That's going to catalyze Waco into a major Texas city like Austin back in the '90s. Enjoy the small-town atmosphere as long as you can! Many Austinites miss those less hectic, authentically Texan days.

I really don't think that's comparable.

Waco has a looooooooong way to go before it even comes close to be a major city.
And I doubt that even happens.

yes, Magnolia Market can't do it alone!

That said, I've received notice that the Head of the Brazos regatta falls on the same weekend as some sort of Gaines festival, Silo Days?! And hotel rooms are going fast!! Hard to imagine but apparently true. Game days are no longer the only big events in Waco.

Austin was already a major city in the 1990s. Maybe you mean 1970s.

Even or Ever are both most likely accurate descriptions of "the future"
