The Texas Panhandle has four distinct seasons. Winter is mild, for the most part, but it does freeze and occasionally ice up. Once in a blue moon, it snows. The worst part about Panhandle winters is the wind chill factor.

Your aren't going to finds anything like this in North Carolina:

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Houston

You really should visit and learn more about the place, because in general, the stereotypes outsiders have about Houston are all wrong.

Houston is an international city, with a large Indian population, and significant access to Indian Cultural activities.

Houston has a large and internationally recognized medical sector, with many leading hospitals and research centers.

Greensboro is a nice town.

You could probably be happy in either location.......Its really about whats important to you.

Good weather for me means no harsh seasons. My entire family cannot handle brutal cold/snow. My kids fall sick EVERY SINGLE winter. We all take turns falling sick every week in the winter and that goes on for months.

I know that Houston has a very humid climate. Where I am originally from (born and raised) I can handle humidity. In fact my kids are never sick during the summer months.

At the same time I am aware that NC has all 4 seasons. But as I said in my first post, that weather is not the major deciding factor. As long as we are comfortable going about our day to day lives, we are good even with the NC weather and even TX.

Thank you for the input SugLandDAd. I did visit Houston for 3 days but was mostly in the The Woodlands area. I did not get a chance to "see" the rest of it. It was an official visit.

Greensboro is not a bad city. It has potential, but we are looking for a little bit more. BUT for us the priorities are schools (quality education for my kids), social interaction and my career advancement.
