Boy did I have a fun time. Flew into DFW, spent a day in Fort Worth at the Texas Civil War Museum, drove to Louisiana for a day and spent 2 days at Mansfield and Fort Buhlow there. Drove back to Texas to spend time with family in Marshall, and then in McKinney. Spent my last day driving down to Austin and spent a whole day at the Bulloch Texas History Museum, the LBJ Library and the State Capitol. Tied down again in Fort Worth and headed home.

Yeah. I could have done without the Dallas-Fort Worth traffic, or most of that in Austin.

Or the crazy roadwork along I-35.

I35 roadwork is one of those constants like death and taxes. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.

Was there anything worth seeing in Waco?

I mean all I saw was Baylor University from the interstate.

The Waco Mammoth National Monument is super cool and the only reason why we go to Waco.

Besides HGTV Fixer Upper Magnolia Market, The Dr. Pepper Museum, Texas Rangers Museum, and the Waco Mammoth National Monument. Just to name a few hot spots to visit in Waco, other than that it's pretty much it.
