i was just wondering I moved to San Antonio but as a gay man, I prefer to be around guys.

Seems like no matter where I went in San Antonio it is all female when ever I go anywhere.

6th street in Austin seemed a little better on male to female ratio. I am thinking I should spend more time in Austin.

I am looking for the pockets of the state where the male to female ratio is better. Where there are men around, not to date or anything but just to be around.

I know in Arizona, Tempe seemed to have a good sized guy to women ratio.

In Denver, there was always Capitol Hill of course.

Are there any Tempe's or Capitol Hill Denver area in Texas?

Interesting question........it seems that Tennessee Colony, Texas is apparently the most male place in the state
Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

Three major Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional facilities, the George Beto Unit,[5] the Coffield Unit,[6] and the Mark W. Michael Unit,[7] are located near Tennessee Colony and use the community's name in their mailing addresses.

Aha!

Irving, Texas, near Dallas/Ft Worth, seems to be your best, non correctional kind of place.

I was going to suggest the Marine Military Academy but they had a female teacher on their website and they mentioned traditional values on their homepage which could be a dog whistle for anti-gay.

Midland and Odessa are heavily male due to the thousands of oilfield workers.

I lived in Austin a couple of years ago. It is a very gay-friendly town. I know there are several gay bars clustered along West Fourth Street but I can only remember two of the names: Oilcan Harry's and Rain. I can't tell you much about them as I am a straight woman. I wish you good luck though.

Edited to add: I just remembered the name of another one: Highland Lounge on Colorado St.

Interesting. At the same time as this post, someone on the Houston forum was asking something similar.

Plenty of guys here in Irving, and nobody will give a rat's butt whether you're gay or straight unless you choose to be a rat's butt about it.

We're totally lacking in night-life though; Irving is a "Sensible older shoes that are really comfy but look kinda worn out" sort of city.
