Hi everybody, I am a man who is a recent college grad.I am looking for different places that may have better dating scenes than Midland, Texas which is where i live now.I'm self-employed so jobs would not be a concern.I am a conservative Christian and I am looking for a like-minded individual. So which metro out of Dallas/Fort Worth,Houston,San Antonio and Austin would be best for me as far as dating and finding a like-minded group of friends?I do not have apartment budget set yet. Thanks in advance.

Austin or Dallas.

Dallas or Houston.

Austin and San Antonio are fine, but they are smaller markets.

Dallas in general has more dudes than chicks, but at your church you will probably find plenty of women and less men.

Depends on what’s your squeeze. All big Texas cities are at least decent for young single people.

Hispanic women: San Antonio
Scruffy white guys: Austin
Melting pot of young professionals: Houston
Stepford wives and/or Ken dolls: Dallas
Traditional church-going people: Fort Worth and the suburbs of all the cities

DFW & Houston metros will certainly have more options based on size, but you'll want to pick the right areas within those metros. I honestly wouldn't recommend Uptown/Oak Lawn/Downtown Dallas or Montrose/Midtown Houston if you're a conservative Christian. I think a more moderate or progressive Christian would fit in better there than conservative. You'll want to seek out the north Dallas area or possibly parts of Plano/Frisco or Fort Worth.

Id probably look at a suburb of any of the above given the conservative Christian part. Or Fort Worth, but even then its not black and white.

Fort Worth. Dallas is a ferocious dating scene. Very pretentious and status oriented. Bad sex ratio of males to females. Fort Worth's ratio isn't much better, as almost all areas of the United States have a surplus of single males relative to single females. The general attitudes of females are better.

Dallas, Fort Worth or Houston.
San Antonio if you like mestizas.
Austin if you like hippies.

what are the young people in the suburbs of Austin like? Are they mostly liberal/hippie/techie/hipster types or are there any more traditional people there?

Pretty sure they are either married or in school mostly. I don't think too many traditional people live in the Austin area unless they are married. Maybe worth a try. You can meet girls in the Hill Country perhaps and at the colleges, too. If you really would prefer to live in Austin. As with any city best place to find them is church.
