Not in Tyler, no near freezing temperatures are "guessed for" I mean, forecast for, for the rest of the month for Tyler. Yes I know Lubbock had what, their 5th largest one day snowfall on record. All of that was not even "area wide" let alone, state wide. One of the five T.V. stations in Tyler is "counting" the number of freezing or below days, for the winter, 7 or 8 days so far, about the same as last year as they pointed out.

They also shared that Tyler had the coldest average temperatures for the entire month of January last year that the town had experienced in the last 20 years. Followed by a warmer than average February.

You simply never know, with any certainty, how the whole winter will "play out"

Last January did not even seem that "extra" cold to me, nothing out of the ordinary, oh, they did point out one day a low of 10 degrees and 3 or 4 days of 18 & 19 degrees, so maybe those and a few more days, brought the whole average for month down, too much thinking,on my part. lol

More thinking, lol, sure the cloudy damp, wet days will likely bring down the overall temperatures, but no real lasting polar blasts so far, sure one fairly cold one lasted 3 - 4 days maybe, but?
