Default WOW H-E-B Ecommerce

Now that is exciting. H-E-B is really on the move. They are competing with Amazon and othe E-commerce giants. Now that is bold. GO H-E-B!!!

Yeah at the corporate level of retailers and grocery stores you will find a lot of software developers, big data, mobile developers, business analysts, etc. That's part of doing business. HEB is about to take it to the next level.

That would be nice...

I have use 'self-check-out' for over 7 yrs, but have never found a more 'clunky' system than H-E-B... They could just BUY the UI from any of 100 other companies (including many groceries) who do it MUCH better.

I wish them the best...

I hope they get it right.
I hope they have their eyes open and notice the several other 'regional' chains who have a 'bang-up-grocery / sundry / clothing / health / entertainment / home supply / home improvement business'. One stop shop, high quality, reasonable price, local grown, + commodity offerings, and unrivaled customer service. Would be very ez and good for H-E-B (and TX) to win in this space. No national chains have (or ever will) master it.

Best wishes.

SA is more affordable than Austin and has better traffic flow
SA is not as humid as Houston
SA is not as big as DFW (traffic and hassle)
SA has marginally better weather, less tornadoes than much of TX
SA is closer to recreation (often where Texans and others come to vacation)
SA is a good retirement destination (Medical and services)
SA has Diverse Economy
SA is in close proximity to many other desirable places, including Austin (Which some would rather visit than live there)
SA keeps building +/-
And the great food and margaritas!

The Prince is putting Cinderella's shoe on right now. San Antonio is a sleeping giant.

SA is getting better known from conventions held along the River Walk area now which draw in Dr's from all over the country much less other professionals. My early visits to SA were limited to DT and areas I passed through coming from Houston. Then our company held an international event at La Cantera where employees from all over Asia and Europe came in early to play golf and explore the city. SA gave them a different view of Texas from earlier events held in Houston for the same groups.

My favorite part of the hill country is just west and NW of SA. Greener with hills and trees compared to around Austin. Love the history of the area and the beauty of say Cordillera ranch up this direction. NE citizens complain about how Texas gets so much federal money back on our tax dollars paid but that ignores the pro military nature of both SA and EP. We like having the military here and like having a more reasonable cost of living and have a better idea of what causes it to rise than some of our fiends from the NE.

SA is in deed moving on up and will continue to in my judgment. It is in deed much more diverse and offers more than some might guess without the attractions of all nature it offers now

It’s has so much going on that’s why. The only thing it misses that the other three major Texas metros is a good university scene
