Hi all,
Family (me, wife, 3yr old) will be staying one night in Waco (Hilton Waco). Looks like we will get into town around 4-5pm (from STL). Anyone have any recommendations of relaxing things to do after a long car ride? IF we get there in time, we may go to the Dr. Pepper museum. After that, I guess walk near the hotel and find a place to eat and maybe walk the park. We will have to depart the hotel by noon the next day -- will probably visit the Silos early morning to beat the crowds. Anything else to see/do before we depart?

Go to the bakery. Then try not to gouge your eyes out in the remaining 12 hours of boredom.

Go to the Dr Pepper museum, the Texas Rangers museum, get dinner at El Chico, then bring liquor back to the hotel room and drink heavily.

It’s funny when folks make up their minds before they even land on on their destination. If you are such boring and afraid of adventure person, travel to even most interesting and exotic locations can’t change that. This is only Waco. If you are a true traveler, every place has something to offer.

Sure.

Go to the center of the Baylor campus and hold up a sign declaring "There is no God". That'll get you all the excitement you want.

Go stand in line for two hours to get into Magnolia with all the other idiot tourists. Then get pissed off when Chip and Joe aren't working the register.

Not joking, it happens.

Go to Homestead Heritage (just north of Waco sort of close to Elm Mott) and spend a few hours walking around. Cool place to visit.
