Can be in College Station or Bryan as long as:
1. House with yard (large dog)
2. Quiet and safe (no time to deal with childish neighbors, college parties, etc)
3. Not more than $2000 monthly but preferably around $1500

Prefer:
1. Within 5 miles of Memorial Village but not more than 15 miles
2. Nearby bicycle path/convenient route to Memorial Village would be an advantage
3. Family community or older population
4. Single story, small house but can be otherwise

Basically a decent place to live in peace for 6 months to a year until I decide whether to purchase a house or not. If you think there are additional criteria a busy professional should be pursuing, please let me know.

Thank you.

Memorial Village is across the street from St. Jo's hospital, correct? If so, I don't know much about housing in that area. Your budget sounds good though. You should be able to find a decent place for that kind of rent. A realtor would be your best bet.

Yes, Memorial village area is where St. Joseph Hospital is. Did a lot of research about nearby neighborhoods but surprisingly, options are relatively limited. I can find something in the more prestigious south-eastern part of college station but commute time is 15-25 minutes. I prefer to spend less time on the road if possible. Thank you for the advice, I might have to request the aid of a realtor like you suggested so that he can divulge information that is not readily available online.
