How diligent are you about social distancing and avoiding non essential social mingling to help flatten the COVID-19 curve?

Haven't gotten in the good habit yet. Refrained from hugging my elderly father, which I didn't like. I'm not worried I will suffer from it - I worry about getting it and passing it to him.

I haven't gone anywhere except the grocery store and I bought a good bit so I can hopefully not go back for two weeks. I do not plan on going anywhere.

I am still going out in my yard to do yard work, take the trash to the curb, etc.

I don't have any family in the area.

Day 1 and I'm not sure I've ever felt more lonely.

We're here for you!

I hope you have books or movies or projects or a pet.

I am perfectly fine without all the people around me! I was never bored with myself.

This is Texas.

You LOCK yourself behind your BIG Gate!

As long as your goats don't catch it, you will be safe.

Very diligent in riding it out. Sitting here in my safe space with my blankie over my head playing one of my favorite songs - "I am a Rock" by Simon and Garfunkel.

Well... actually not quite. I am indeed sequestered in my home with my wife. But we have plenty to do. I am also writing a book, so I have that as well. Can't go to the gym, but I am zooming around on my new bicycle in my retirement community taking care not to stop and talk to anyone, even though there haven't been any cases reported here in the RGV.

So not a big deal to me. Kind of like being on a staycation, but since I'm retired I'm frequently on vacation. Oh, can't go to restaurants - that hurts...

We have two kids (13 and 10) and we are quarantined at home. School is out until April 6th (at the earliest) and kids are not being allowed to mingle with their friends. Lots of internet time on the horizon . We will (as weather permits) be doing some hiking and managed to snag a cancellation at Inks Lake for some tent camping in a couple weeks.

Within the house, I have primary interaction with the kids and I do no shopping or really leave the house. My wife is doing the shopping but being as diligent as possible in washing/minimizing contact with the kids. It is tough to get kids to follow the hygiene systems to the extent that an adult can.

All that said, it is currently kind of a game for the kids. Both wife and I can (and are) working from home. We will not see my parents or my wife's parents for a couple months, probably, which will be different for the kids, since they typically see them every week or two.

*as a side note, TPWD is encouraging people to check in online and print their own pass, so you do not have to stop and check in at the gates of the parks.
