Yes, the CA emigre presence in Houston in undoubtedly large as you say, it just gets more lost in the overall diversity of immigration here.

Sorry, but Austin is NOT similar to the climate in any part of CA that I have ever been to. LOL

Below is a list of the two highest California counties that send people to the big four Texas main metro counties from 2014-2018. (Example - Including all of the Texas counites Harris gains the largest net inflow from Miami-Dade then second is Los Angeles County.)

Bexar County
First four are Texas counties
Los Angeles County 5th
San Diego County 11th

Dallas County
Los Angeles County 1st
Alameda County 4th

Harris County
(First is Miami-Dade)
Los Angles County 2nd
Riverside County 9th

Travis County
First two are Texas counties
Los Angeles County 3rd
San Francisco County 14th

The reference is to Houston and Florida. He asked why Houston is seeing Florida emigrants. The two aren’t particularly the same. But heat and humidity say a lot.

I don’t think 14-18 is very well representative of 19 and forward for a lot of reasons.
