Good catch! I love some Lone Star on a hot day while BBQing. It's a cheep beer and is priced accordingly. I think Shiner is overrated.

Me too, but I think half of these brands are overrated. Even before the Chicago acquisition, Whataburger was just a slightly better convenient fast food restaurant for me.

I'll say Dickey's BBQ. Dallas based with an international presence.

There are lots of Texas restaurants that are Texas based with int'l presence. Del Frisco's, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, Fuddruckers, Russo's Pizza, The Palms, Pizza Hut, etc.

There are much better BBQ places than Dickey's

Pappas brothers restaurants based out of Houston. Pappas Seafood, Pappasito's. Pappadeaux's, Pappas bbQ. Luby's cafeteria, Pappas Steak House, Delta Blues to name the ones I know off the stop of my head. Not as ol as El Fenix but thats where i could to for TexMex.

Lamdry's is a big deal HQ in Houston made up of mostly of small high end chains bought across the country not started here in Texa as Pappas restaurants are. They are the largest publicly traded restaurant company. Got some good local brands like Salt Grass Steakhouse which they bought up but was started and based in Houston before Landry's took them over but the name Landry's is from Louisiana. Tilman Frititas is the CEO and driving force behind it, he is a houston or Galveston Native. They own Brick House now, Mortan's steak house, McCormick's and schmitz, Rainforest just to name a few of their many. They also own a bunch of Casinos and a nice hotel in Galveston, the San Luis.

Id put Pappas brothers in there but not Laudry's though.
