The white plates look terrible on my grey truck, so I thought about getting a black one. Anyone have problems buying these specialty plates?

So you hate it enough to pony up the extra money? I think I gave them $55 more a year for the big star on the black plate (don't see it here), and I didn't pick my letters... so I got off cheap. More custom, more dollars. I kept it for several years.

I have black license plates but they dont have a ♡ on them. Just black plates with white letters and numbers, and a small white ☆ at top left corner and a small white "map" of Texas at top right corner . I have a two tone black/brown Mazda with black wheels. For them being license plates, the black plates look real good on the car. I think I pay an $50 extra "special plates fee" each year. The numbers and letters on the plates were picked by the State of Texas, not by me. They would have cost quite a bit more if I selected the numbers and letters for the plates instead of the State of Texas.
