LOL! In Wichita Falls it's an advantage to be able to speak Spanish! There are many Hispanics in the area....some are new, but many have been there for generations and are an accepted part of the community. If you plan to work, being bilingual will be a nice advantage for you in many jobs. Shepard AFB is an important part of the city and military people are welcome there. Best wishes to you!

Well, a few years ago, but not today, my friend. They've moved on.

Default Come On Over

Don't worry about not being accepted in WF. You'll enjoy it there. It's got the charm you look for in a small town, mixed with some big-city amenities. It's got a little balance. You won't have to worry about heavy traffic in town, and the infrastructure is improving.

Enjoy your stay!

There is only one Saturday during the year that you just might as well stay home, at least until the afternoon. That would be August 23rd this year. Now if you happen to be living on the AFB, come out and wave.

Sheppard AFB huh? it's pretty nice. and being hispanic, you will be just fine. It's largely caucasian but with some diversity, due to the base and college there!
