Hi,

Family is considering moving to Waco, for new job opportunities.
We have a 4 year old child with special needs, in particular Down Syndrome.

Anyone know of particular schools or special education opportunities for children with similar needs in the Waco area?

Ty!

Your best bet would be to locate within the Midway ISD school district which covers the more affluent parts of south Waco, Woodway, and Hewitt (southern suburbs). It's the school district with the most resources and they have good Special Ed programs.

Midway ISD should work good.

Default Moving to Waco? Need Real Estate help?

If you and your family make the decision to move to Waco, will you be needing Real Estate assistance? I would love to help you find a home in a school district that can provide the special education your child needs. Please feel free to reach out if I can be of any assistance to you!
