No, I don't believe there is. I'm assuming you mean like Section 8. There are areas that are on the lower socio-economic scale but there's not a "projects" type area.

Since Rockwall is near Dallas, you may want to try posting in the Dallas threads.

Low income as in inexpensive, or low income as in the government pays for it?

Rockwall is middle class to upper middle class, I don't think they have any projects there. There aren't a whole lot of apartments in Rockwall, so there are probably even fewer that take section 8 vouchers. You could probably rent a home for a decent price.

I know there are housing projects in Dallas, and I believe there is one in McKinney. weather or not a place takes section 8 is up to the individual apartment complex. There are quite a few places that take section 8 in Dallas.

I believe you can set up a mobile home in Rockwall, but I'm not 100%

Truthfully there probably isn't a lot in the way of low income housing in Rockwall itself, but you may expand your search to nearby areas.

Also is transportation is an issue you may want to stay in Dallas county, other than Mesquite. Most of Dallas and Collin county has public transportation. Dallas also has a county hospital.

Do you necessarily have to be in Rockwall? Garland which is not too far has many properties that are section 8 approved.

Default Section 8

Section 8 program is not the Projects. So unless you know what your talking about you don't need to comment.

There was a lower income subdivision south the highway and an apartment complex by the post office when we lived there.
