The Texas Election ID Certificate is issued FREE to every registered voter and is mailed to your address on file. This is all you need to vote in an election in Texas.

I want to repeat this one more time for any slow readers, or other people who wish to continue arguing over Voter ID:

Lumping Cruz, a magna __ laude Princeton undergraduate and Harvard law school gradual with "insurrectionists, Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, Qanon et. al. is just plain inapposite.

Well, that was a dodge. One more time.

Your statement, "Not necessarily. I feel that people who vote should have some idea of who they are voting for and why; not vote the way their preacher or ballot harvester or ward healer tells them to vote."

And the above has been similarly repeated by Republicans. Yet, anywhere from half to 67% of Republican voters (not ones that didn't vote and according to numerous and different news sources) say that they do not believe Biden won the 2020 election. How is a preacher (who you specifically mentioned), when it comes to politics, any different than Tucker or Trump or Cruz in telling people how to vote and what to believe, and that Biden really didn't win?

As for Cruz, you can admire him to your hearts content. He did say the election was rigged like the 50-67% of Republican voters. I'll take a Thurgood Marshall who didn't graduate MCL, or from any ivy league college, over Cruz any day.

Fox or non-Fox? I'll do both.

Fox:
Fox 12/15/20

Fox 12/11/20

Interesting that Fox polls show 77% Republican voters believe Biden did not win (as do many Republican's on this forum)

Non-Fox
Forbes 4/5/21

Reuters 11/18/20

Marketwatch 2/5/21

There are so so many many more

Do you need to show up somewhere to initiate the process? What is the longest drive for some?

Initiate *what* process? Registering? Voting? Please be more specific.

Longest drive for some? No idea. Certainly not my problem. Rural folks have always been eligible for mail-in voting. I don’t believe that has changed. Every county no matter how rural has polls on Election Day as well.

This issue is far bigger than a photo ID and any objective reading of the voter suppression initiative being carried on by the Republicans would acknowledge as much.

Enlighten us. Explain what it is in specific that you find suppressive about this.
