Citizens do have the right to detain someone committing a crime.

I think the husband should have reversed the roles and sent the wife to call the po po. Now, I would have no issue with my wife and her watching/holding someone who had invaded my daughter's sanctity. We are both alpha capable when protecting ours. Maybe this was the situation or maybe the guy just dropped the decision making ball when setting up rolls.

Anyway, the husband did step up and do the right thing will some obvious skill when the situation called for it ! KUDOS to him !!!! 2 to centermass and one to the center cranial vault would have simplified things though in case this piece of human slime survives.

Hey Grandpa, my sis retired (from SE Tx) to the old family farm in East Tenn. Dandridge mailing address but 9 miles out from there. Actually close to the hamlet of CHestnut Hill. She was born in Morristown.

They're good people!

Unexpected stuff happens, BE PREPARED. Think rationally, act responsibly.

Granted the guy needs to be locked up (or shot!), but...crossing the street to pursue the offender may get this couple in trouble.
the man did not comply with the order, instead reportedly walking across the street to a nearby gas station. The armed parents followed the man to the gas station, where the husband went inside to call police while the wife attempted to keep the suspect on the scene.

The man then allegedly wrestled the handgun the wife was using away from her and began to point it at her, prompting the husband to shoot the man at least three times.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
A real Texas hoedown.
