Stanford has won it every year from 1994 to 2019 (they didn’t give one last year due to Covid). Based on a quick glance at the standings over the past 25 years I don’t see Baylor breaking into the top 10 in any year out of the past 25. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NACDA_...CAA_Division_I

This year the rankings were

1. Texas
2. Stanford
3. Michigan
4. North Carolina
5. Florida
6. USC
7. Alabama
8. Arkansas
9. Ohio State
10. Georgia

The only private schools that have ever broken into the top 10 in any year are Stanford, USC, Duke, and Notre Dame. Baylor has never once finished in the top 10. Probably partly because Baylor is missing a lot of sports that other schools do.

Stanford has been by far the most dominant athletic program in the country, winning every single year except the first year 1993 when North Carolina won, and last year when Texas won. Stanford took second both of those years. I expect that Stanford was probably more affected by Covid closures than Texas last year as CA was much more locked down than TX and the PAC-12 had more restrictive athletics than the Big-12.

And they all earned it. They didn't trip and fall backwards into a New Years Bowl game with a mediocre 8-4 record. They earned it.

I do admit I got a chuckle when I read how much UT spent to jettison both Strong and Herman, and then spent another boatload for a 5-7 record. Shouldn't have messed with the Coogs head coach when UH was rolling over the likes of OU and Louisville, now you have to deal with the Cougar curse. Just ask the Aggies about that.
Houston beat Auburn in essentially a road game at the Birmingham Bowl
Tech blew out out Mississippi St in the Liberty Bowl
Oklahoma St beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl
Baylor beat Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl.

The new BIGXII will be a very competitive football and basketball conference with the addition of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF.

Looks like UT & OU will have an easier time in the SEC.

Many SEC teams went down this bowl season. Proof they can be had and not every SEC team is Alabama. LOL

and we should include:

UCF 29, Auburn 17
Houston 17, Auburn 13

The only blemish was: Cincinnati 6 Alabama 27

Hmmm....looks like 5-1 to me for the current/future Big12 vs SEC

And of course there was the OSU beat-down of Notre Dame in the Fiesta that looked pretty good too.

Also...Tech, Baylor and K State did not just squeak by - they beat those SEC teams by some pretty wide margins!

Yep, pretty convincing beat-downs. Also UCF beat Florida not Auburn. I didn't notice that mistake until it was too late to edit my post.

Yeah, I was glad to see that.
Looks like Texas might make some noise when the Horns get to the SEC in 2023.... providing Sark doesn’t mess up.
