Love South Padre. We spent our honeymoon there (1982). It was all we could afford at the time, but it was more than enough. Had a great time.

I love SPI too! It's just such a far drive from us but I sure wish I was there today!

Our kids loved the beach too. SPI is a great place to take the family.

South Padre is great.
Not as crowded as Panama City Beach and that's a big plus.
The video however doesn't show clarity of water and quality of the beach well enough. And for Texas that's critically important. That's the only beach in Texas worth the drive and comparable to Florida.
