Yeah, technically true, but that’s like including Marble Falls as part of Austin. Nobody in either city says “oh I live in Xxxxx” when describing where they live, and I’m pretty sure that’s what the intent was, not the pedantic definition.

Eh. I definitely consider marble falls as the Austin metro area. I know a few people who commute in. I assume it’s similar for Brenham.

Brenham is 76 miles from Houston and 89 miles from Austin. So it is positioned almost exactly half way between those two metro areas.

It might be part of the Houston MSA for purposes of things like TV media markets. But it isn't exactly the Houston suburbs. Driving from Brenham to Houston on a daily basis for a job would be pretty painful.
