It’s the third item listed.
I still have a while before my TX DL expires. As long as they don't confiscate my current TX license when renewing and I can use it for air travel/car rental while I wait for the new one to arrive, that is OK. Concern would be if all I have is a paper copy.

Why would your license be confiscated?

I meant it’s useless as a passport other than for land travel. For what you pay for the passport card, you may as well get the passport book so you can use it for international travel no matter what method.

I hear you on USPS. Some POs are very good, and others are awful. Our old one in Grapevine was great, but our new one in Terrell is horrible.

Disappointed in how many a$$holes are out there these days (within USPS). What happened to common decency and common courtesy?
I wouldn't trust UPS or FedEx either. UPS pilfers through their boxes.

From a few days ago--FedEx hurls packages to the porch:

They only confiscate out-of-state DLs. The old TX DL will be mutilated in some way by the DPS clerk and you can use it as the photo for the temporary paper DL.
