Been taking road trips lately on I 45, 35 , 290 and beyond and been noticing madness. People treating these places like the autobahn. Anyone else notice our wreck less drivers spill into the country?

No, I haven't noticed it. There has always been fast and aggressive drivers. I drive defensively and don't feel threatened.

Here is a good primer for you:

I haven't notice anything. I feel safer driving in the rural parts than I do in the cities of Texas.

I always have the same question
Why is it that I never see any highway patrol pulling people over on Texas highways? (at least, the Houston area)

It’s pretty rare on I-35 and I-20 too.

In Houston, I do see them pull people over a lot on Katy Freeway though.

The only stretch that I notice people being pulled over in my Texas highway travels is I 10 towards Beaumont

I love a wreck less driver, who doesn't?

Driving fast doesn't equate to bad. Driving unsafe, at any speed, is bad. Driving without Situational Awareness, at any speed, is bad. Driving distracted is bad.

The Autobahn is one of the safest highways in Germany. OTOH, they make people learn how to drive over there. Really. Learn.

Texas drivers?
Drivers are drivers in the US. Every state complaints about their and think THEIR are the worst.
Probably due to poor drivers education, disregarding traffic laws, lack of courtesy and general entitlement attitude.
I don't think they are any worse than in other states. We have just very congested cities and the patience is wearing thin.

Tell that the cop...

There are two main types of speed limit signs: regulatory speed signs which you must not exceed (black numbers on white sign), and advisory speed signs (black numbers on yellow sign) which indicate a recommended maximum speed for a corner in good driving conditions for the average car.
