What price is your neighborhood gas?
This afternoon I paid $4.02 for premium at Love's at Clovis, NM. Regular was $3.89. Regular is now $3.89 at Farwell and Muleshoe, TX as well.

When I went to town Monday, the 3 gas stations on Hwy 59, Jefferson, Tx., were charging $3.79.

I found a website that gives many of the prices in cities across the state of Texas;

Texas Gas Prices - Find Cheap Gas Prices in Texas

My neighbor and I have been putting money on a card from Wal Mart and the go to the Wal Mart gas pumps and save 3 cents per gallon. Many of my neighbors are car pooling or will pick stuff up for one another, when going to town.

I am going to try taking Amtrak to visit my kids and grandkids, round trip will cost $40 bucks. One of my son's works downtown where the rail switching yard is, so I will catch a ride home with him. This trip from East Texas to Ft. Worth and back in gasoline would cost me $160 round trip if I drove my car.

Update, was $3.75 this morning. Others in the area are running $3.80.

That's probably wishful thinking. A very well-respected oil-industry analyst appeared on CNBC this week with a much grimmer forecast. He said that somewhere between 2010-2015, gas prices will hit the $12/gallon mark and after that point, we should begin to expect rationing.

We should all re-seed our yards with switchgrass. In five years: windfall.
