What are you talking about? The Biden administration has sent more would be immigrants back to Mexico under Title 42 than the Trump administration did. Trump also did not follow the law on immigration.

Instead, Abbott found one more bad idea to take from Huffines’ failed campaign: crippling trade with Mexico in the name of being tough on illegal immigration and border security.

The governor’s order to have the Department of Public Safety inspect trucks coming in from Mexico immediately slowed business with Texas’ biggest trading partner. Drivers immediately complained of hours added to their cross-border trips. Some launched protest blockades at the Pharr international bridge and other areas, and producers were already feeling the pinch Wednesday. The governor relented a little, reaching a deal with some of his Mexican counterparts for trucks coming into Laredo to move quicker, thanks to checkpoints on the Mexican side. But the slowdowns in the rest of the state appear likely to continue.

With Abbott’s trucking order. DPS resources are pulled away from keeping highways and communities safe. Truckers, already squeezed by higher fuel costs, must waste even more while waiting for inspection. And if a refrigerated truck runs out of diesel in line, its food products are compromised. What does the governor think that kind of thing does to prices at the grocery store?
The pain will ultimately trickle down to the consumer. Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, no soft-on-borders liberal, decried Abbott’s action, warning that Texans could quickly see $5 avocados, among other rapid price increases, as produce is slowed and much more is wasted.

Wow so it's Abbott that's causing all this inflation and not Putin?? I thought it was "Putin's Price Hike"??

Seems quite a few people are getting "triggered" by reality?

The Putin inflation was made worse by Abbott's grandstanding truck searches.

It's everybody but the current administration in Wash DC according to the Leftists on this board.

Abbott is a clown for sure and is surrounded by idiots. I'll hate voting for him and will hold my nose and do it. At least he has no multi criminal history like his Democrat challenger, Francis O'Rourke.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's truck inspection policy created a logjam at the border that resulted in $240 million of spoiled produce
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bus...m-2022-4%3Famp

Dante L. Galeazzi, CEO, and president of the Texas International Produce Association, told CNN that about $9 billion worth of fresh produce crosses from Mexico into Texas each year, and that produce was "being used as bargaining chips," last week.

Abbott on Friday announced that the policy has ended and there would no longer be any secondary inspections of trucks crossing the border.

Lance Jungmeyer, president of the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas, told CNN that fruit and vegetable losses added up to over $240 million and that buyers across the country can expect rising prices as producers try to regain some of those losses.

Well now that is interesting about the amount of "spoiled produce". Even the worst stories stated the delays were 10 - 12 hours at the most. If the produce spoiled in that amount of time then two questions have to be asked.
  • What companies are shipping produce out in the open and not in refrigerated trucks in the hottest part of the country??
  • Was that produce so old it could not withstand another 10 - 12 hours and was already over ripe??
BTW according to Texas DPS they found, and pulled out of service, 25% of those trucks (from main stream media sources) for significant safety defects. Forget about any initial reasoning for doing this the Texas DPS just protected how many Texas citizens from potential death traps rolling around on our roads?

Of course it's political theater... but someone has to bring attention to the utter failure of the DC establishment. So God bless Greg Abbot, Ron DeSantis and any other governor out there sticking their neck out to save the country from the insanity.
