Dang..you figured out our plan. LOL
Between school shootings, law enforcement that can’t get their story straight, power grid failures, global warming and the high temps in much of the state, dying migrants, unpopular anti abortion laws- you are doing a damn good job.
Yup Rick Scott is the man.

Rick Scott is a Senator (and former governor) from Florida.

This is a fact. I have met dozens of Californians that have moved to San Antonio and they are all GOP voters.

Almost all of the California transplants I know that moved here vote blue.

None of this matters. Your observations and mine are not statistical. You also have to remember that like attracts like. Youre more conservative and Im more liberal and were going to be more likely to meet people of that mindset no matter where they are from.

This isn’t true at all.

I was hoping for a discussion like here on Reddit where Alpha 7 writes:

Allow me for a moment to put all political, moral, spiritual, and ethical concerns aside and address the biggest issue that this ruling, and the subsequent passing of HB 1280, will bring forth. This is a death sentence to economic growth in TX.

DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston will simply not be able to attract the talent for all the companies that call those cities home. Many businesses have relocated their corporate HQ's to these TX cities. In many cases with sweetheart deals for land and tax benefits. I don't think these benefits will matter much if business cannot attract workers from across the country. Remote work will not save us either. Why maintain empty offices in TX?

Ultimately, it makes TX a less attractive place to live. The optics of this are terrible.
Yes and no to that. The optics are terrible, but it’s not as dramatic as all that. It’s definitely not a death sentence to growth. Blue state liberals will still flood Austin and Houston is still the only place in the US that has the breadth and width of energy based talent. Houston’s growth also comes primarily from other countries and that won’t really be affected by this. People like to make definitive predictions, but almost none ever come true.

DFW has been growing so fast it could afford to slow down but I kind of doubt it will.
