I was just curious what beaches are in Texas that would be a fun spring break trip. There's obviously the infamous South Padre, but is there anything else? I've done a little of internet searching and came across Galveston, and also Jamaica Beach... Is there anything else that offers a lot of fun, but not almost in Mexico? Anything helps! Thanks.

Port Aransas but their are many kids that are down their during that time of the year. Good fishing in the spring so i would rent a condo rent some kayaks and play around in the bay. Light house lagoon is just on the other side of the ferry and is a wonderful place to explore and bring your fishing rod.

After being on a Seattle Ferry I was laughing at the one there. a Bridge could so much be cheeper and easier to cross there in Texas. But its one of the last on the Texas coast, so I hope they keep it just for that reason alone.

Do not go to Mexico for spring break. The Narco ideology has caused many deaths, and is a culture of death. These Narco people and their selfish culture hold peace for ransom in Mexico. There is no honor or loyalty, and no chance for them to change. They don't realise how uneducated, how destructive, how ungrateful and how unharmonious they are living with the rest of us. They think they are brave and strong, but they are weak, lazy pests. They are nothing without their culture of no laws. They are nothing if they could not shoot you in the back. They are nothing because they do not value life. They are cowards.

I've lived up and down the Texas Coast from Galveston to South Padre Island and if you don't want close to Mexico, the Port Aransas area is the best place to live for safe area, clean, pretty beaches, good fishing and food and family friendly. It does get a little rowdy during Spring Break but that's not a big deal for very long. Corpus Christi is a nice city but there are petrochemical plants to deal with in some areas of the city.
