Very true. And at least another 1/3 are crooked as the old Tammany Hall cabal in NYC.
The remaining 1/3 are just loons & crooks in training.

It has always been my opinion that there are two kinds of politicians. The first is the new politician full of fire and ready to do the bidding of the people and not special interests. If this type continues with that attitude they do not last long as politicians in an elected office. The second type are the career politicians whose attitudes have changed either immediately after their first election or not long after at their reelection or second reelection. This type have realized they can't get rich and famous by actually representing the people.


Occasionally, but rarely, do we have a long time politician who actually continues with the vim, vigor, and fire to actually represent the people. That is the sad state of affairs we have in this country.
