I'm not a snob, so I'll say I buy many H-E-B products. I especially like the H-E-B Select Ingredients brand. They have many great products I can't find anywhere else. For example, I don't like corn syrup in my foods, so I'll look for products from that H-E-B label that are simple and have only the most necessary ingredients. I wish more brands would stop using corn syrup for everything. H-E-B has my vote for quality products from that label.

I have lived in Texas for less than a year, and am pretty enamored with H-E-B. Many of their H-E-B brand products are quite good, in my opinion, especially the frozen meals. Unfortunately, they are constantly out of the single serving packages of the lasagnas I like to buy from them.

Their bakery seems a little better than the average supermarket bakery, as well.

I find their pricing reasonable, definitely lower than what I see in some other stores (like Market Street).

When I shop at HEB,I try to avoid HEB brands, they are not that good altho it is cheaper than national name brands.
I found the whole place rather sloppy ,disorganised but then they are very popular with locals .
Their flower shop is expensive.
I like their seafood selection though !

We like most of them.
Their Creamy Creations ice cream (made with cane sugar) is better than Blue Bell (made with high fructose corn syrup crap).

We recently discovered their Cowboy Cookies. We find them addictive! Best cookie I've had in a long time!

HEB is fine…a lot of folks love HEB, but I never particularly understood why. It’s merely…fine.

We are about to make an order, but before pushing the button are wondering if anyone has positive or negative experience with this supermarket?

Thanks.
I found the HEB branded products to be hit or miss. Now that we're moved north, I'll say the same thing about Kroger brands. Some are good, some aren't.

Well, what else is there in Texas for the cost and quality? I mean, Wally World brisket may be cheaper but who would touch their meat with a 10 foot spit?
