That is true in terms of Texas having a higher proportion of Evangelicals than FL and Montana, but Alabama and Mississippi has an even higher portion of religious right residents than Texas. So it's not conservative clout, it's not religious fanatics shoving their beliefs on others. It's just behind the times politics of you asked me

True but Mississippi has long had an infamous federal marijuana program there affiliated with Ole Miss so I think the sentiment there is a little different. Not sure about Alabama though. But even though the state as a whole is behind at least the urban Texas centers arent, and at the end of the day they influence other parts of the state.

The use of the word "decriminalize" is a significant misnomer. This is a very good description of Proposition B and what it really is, straight from Denton themselves.

https://www.cityofdenton.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=275

As you can see it really is nothing more than a "Feel Good" proposition and only relates to the City of Denton LEO. Additionally it does not stop LEO from using the possession of, or even the detected odor from, marijuana from being used as probably cause for further LEO search and/or restraint. It absolutely does not apply to any other LEO that may operate inside the City limits such as County Sheriff, Constables, Texas DPS, any Federal LEO, etc., etc.

All it really says is that the City of Denton LEO is not interested in pursuing simple possession without other violations present or reasonable suspicion other violations have occurred. There are so many ways a person can still be nailed for simple possession and not realize this proposition does not apply.

Simple its not legal here -

But since you brought it up i was referring to the pots head dope smokers that dont want to move out of Texas to smoke the ganja. You need to be prepared to pay the price if you want to toke. Or like i said relocate your butt to a place that allows you to get stoned as much as you want.

The weedheads who don't want to move out of TX can just go to their local "hemp" store and get everything they need in edible form. Made from low THC "hemp" instead of high THC "marijuana." It's Mitch McConnell approved and the majority of those stores are veteran-owned. They have about 1 dozen different weed extracts for sale, all within the bounds of the latest laws, you can mix / match those extracts and ingest as much as you need to get fully baked all day long. And then throw down a few beers like a true 'Merican to get rid of the cottonmouth. And if you don't want to go into the store there are plenty of online retailers to get this stuff delivered to your mailbox. 100% legal. What a time to be alive. Only real issue is you'll pee dirty for several days just like if you smoked some weed.

It is basically the same. You can buy carts and even actual flower at shops. They aren’t quite the same but pretty damn close. And there is one that doesn’t seem to register on a drug test… at least on the lab drug test it still comes out on the dipstick. I won’t share anymore don’t want to get any posts removed.

I don’t have any personal experience, but my friend on the other hand… has smoked real weed, taken real weed edibles, the legal edibles they sell at smoke shops, legal carts, legal joints, etc. they have the same effects. You might need to take 3 hits instead of 2 of the legal one to get the same effect…. Not too much of a difference.
