Hello

I really could use your help, due to health issues I need to move to a climate that hot and dry. I am trying to find infor on nice towns or cities in Tx to live. I am looking for a nice, friendly, safe place to put down roots and enjoy. I have family in Las Vegas but don't like all the gambling and crime. I would really like to settle in Tx. I have also checked out Az and Nm, but have my heart set on Tx. So if you could give me some good advice I would really appreciate it.

Thank you
Paula

For a dry climate you will need to limit your search to west Texas. I don't know much about that area...but I'm sure other CD's will help you out.

Yes, West Texas. I'm in Central Texas, but there's some humidity here.

Try Abilene. There is a small lake there, but not the huge ones like in San Angelo and Del Rio.

Amarillo, Lubbock or anywhere close is a fine choice.....someone mentioned Abilene, but the humidity starts to hit around Wichita Falls if youre going east down highway 287....pretty much the texas panhandle (if youre wanting to stay in texas) is a great choice for dry (usually under 30% humidity) weather.
