My son liked Harris Creek when he was in school there.

When I was at Baylor, I went to Columbus Avenue Baptist. So are you THE Billiefan2000 of PF?

No, no, PanTerra, not the chicken place. We're talking places where people sometimes have chicken in the fellowship hall.

By the way, folks, I had an acquaintance many years ago who had attended Calvary Baptist in Waco and really loved it.

Ah yes, Leslie's Chicken Shack. Best grease in town.

Cowboy Churches are getting to be very popular in this part of the world.....there are probably 4 in our little county right now----100-300 at each worshipers every Sunday. They go in their regular work clothes (yes, just like the pictures above - those are not costumes, they are work clothes!), bring their guitars, fiddles, amps....play and sing Christian music, mostly old-time gospel, have a sermon and prayers, then have a potluck dinner. Not all the people who go are derelicts....well, some are.....but there are all kinds of people there. Some of them bring their horses and after lunch they go for a trailride. They meet in barns or just in the open.or at an arbor by a cemetary....the one near us meets in an old children's camp that is now out of business. Many of the people there are people who would never feel comfortable going to the big brick churches in town....but their hearts are in the right place.

Sorry, got off track there......just wanted to give you a glimpse of the 'other side' of religion....
