Guys, we're forgetting it's also about the most "attractive city" in Texas, not just cities with hills. So, is El Paso attractive, muhnay? I haven't been there, so I dont' know.

But I would not trade our Mountain View for anything in Texas.. you can go up there and park on the mountain and stare out over the city.. it is amazing.

So I am going to change my earlier statement and Say El Paso is the best hilly city in Texas.
Muhnay actually said something NICE about El Paso?!?

*Passes out*

*Recovers* Yep!! I know exactly what you mean. I love to go up to the coffeehouse here in Alamo and look out over the city up there....or the Space Center Museum upper parking lot...WOW.

Well define attractive.. Some would say Yes.. its desert vistas, and awesome sunsets.. the poppies in spring turning the mountain gold.. or after our monsoon season the mountains getting all green.. The Architecture of UTEP, and some of our southwest buildings... yes some would surely say Yes.

But some might also argue no, because of the unpleasant view of Mexico, the unclean look along our freeway and so on.

I prefer the UTAH desert, over the El Paso one, I also prefer trees and grass.. something not seen to often in El Paso.. but yes El Paso has its own kind of beauty.

You know if you keep making me say nice things about El Paso.. some people on here may have a heart attack and die. =)

Heh Heh.. I am glad to see you recovered and did not fall far when passing out. That could of been real bad.. I try not to say many more nice things just for the sake of your heart and head.

Yeah when I was in Mississippi, I had to hit the Casinos and go up to get the same sorta thing I get here off the mountains.. El Paso at night is a wondrous sight. I like El Paso when its many residents are sleeping. =)

Living in pancake-flat South Texas as I did, I found the "Hill Country" impressive. Not anymore. Areas around Abilene have MUCH more impressive "hills," might even call them mountains. Lots of trees and greenery, too.

Buffalo Gap/Tuscola area is very, very pretty.

i remember when i lived in North Texas, there was a BIG hill/mountain, i think it was called "Ranger Hill" in the town of Ranger, near Eastland and Cisco...i think it was Interstate 30?? ya know what i'm talkin' bout yall?
i will never forget we had an ice storm and folks were stuck on that hill for hours and hours-i mean HOURS and not just a couple. it was bad. i remember how steep an incline it was to go up that hill.

You're welcome anytime, Belle! I always have pitchers of tea in the fridge and food to throw on the barbecue, LOL.

I know the Ranger area but I pass through on I-20 East when I head to DFW. You climb up the mountain and suddenly there's this gorgeous valley all spread out below you! Sure wouldn't want to be driving it in an ice storm, though!!!

Wow! That is a very lovely area. I'm impressed. It's very wide open and I really love that.
