Its a Canon Power shot S5-IS.. I hope to be able to get pictures somewhat as good as yours now. I just need to get my skill up to yours.

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful town. San Angelo looks like it was scrubbed and polished for its close-ups.

I loved all those murals.

Thanks as always RGV.

adios
Whoops! Thank you. Again, for me, a senior moment, and I just turned 42.

I can see it now: Case, you might want to read it carefully next time! Slap, slap.

Actually, it was great that the Bryan thread was brought back. But the San Angelo photos here were fantastic and I saw some things I didn't quite expect. Then again, that's what we usually have when you see something new. My favorite was the bridges over the river. It makes you feel like you're in a city and it is quite a scene.

I'm not sure it's called Mejor que Nada anymore.. it's changed hands almost 3 times in the last 5-7 years. In any case, the food is relatively the same. If you come in either from the north or south of town, stay on 87 (Bryant Ave), it's on the west side of the road just south of Knickerbocker/Q Ave.

Teatime, they have not changed the name at all. It's still Angelo State University (ASU). I don't know if they intend to change the name at all to reflect the Texas Tech cirriculum they are picking up or not. Seems they are closing in on some new 3-story dorms they've been building right on/next to the campus.

Thanks, that will be easy to find, since Bryant is a major road. Angelo has grown so much (and I've been away so long) that I tend to get lost when I visit, about once every 5 years or so!

Wow, those pictures bring back memories....I thought that was King's music. I still have my violin I bought in High School! We left in 1984, moved to Atlanta GA. I graduated HS in 1985....anyone remember Shakey's? That was my first job! Good Times! And the drag, that was fun!!!!

I've been back only once since I left, but I still miss San Angelo, even today!
