I prefer the rolling/hilly terrain of North Texas and the drier air.
The hillier terrain in DFW has definitely spoiled me. The hills are gigantic compared to what I was use to in Houston. Love the views you get from certain points in DFW. Houston does the flatness well, since there are some rolling hills in parts of the Houston area, and the towering pine trees are nice, too (friends from DFW loved the trees compared to back home). Hills can get in the way sometimes, too.

Yeah, the drive into Greater Houston on I-45 is nice. I really like the pine forests mixed with the development from around Huntsville through The Woodlands.

I can relate because I have to walk up and down hills everyday to and from classes.

The gulf is brown because of the Mississippi river depositing vast amounts of silt, not because of water of quality. I don't get that notion of not swimming in the gulf because it looks "unclean".

It's the truth though. It's why beaches east of the river are generally seen as "cleaner"..

Ey, I hear too many things from both sides. One person says its silt and the next says its pollution and waste from the rivers.

I remember once when I went down though and the water was beautiful and blue.
