It is FAR from the biggest. Red McCombs Wildlife is the biggest zoo in Texas. It is over 100 times as large as the Dallas Zoo.

And even with the improvements I STILL think the FW zoo is better. The Houston Zoo is better too. But you all beat San Antonio and Austin's

The Dallas zoo was always the biggest by land area.

That's not a zoological park.

You must don't know the difference between a Wildlife Preserve and a Zoo.

It is listed everywhere as a zoo. They are accredited by the American zoological Society as a Zoo so Imma call it a Zoo. Call it what you want to make yourself feel better, the rest of the non Dallas folk will call it a zoo

So what is the largest zoo in the world? The answer to this question depends on what criteria is used for the term “large”. Are we measuring the number of species held in captivity or the total land area of the zoo. If we consider only the later the Red McCombs Wildlife in Texas with its 12,000
Houston Zoo is the largest zoo by species followed by SA
Houston is the largest zoo by number of animals followed by FW
Red McCombs is the largest by land area, I am not even sure that Dallas is second

Go ask the zoological society. I have seen you get fancy with your definitions before when you hear Dallas PR people making wild claims of biggest. Like that Trinity park you guys thought were the biggest in the nation but not even close to the top ten.

I've notice that the DFWers seem to be getting more and more like the Atlantans, with each passing day.
