Why are we still discussing the Calatrava bridges in Dallas? Why is this even an issue? They wanted some nice bridges to beautify the Trinity floodplain. So what?

Even if it was a billion, that area is a property tax gold mine compared to what it was before the bridge. And it will only get better. Uptown West.

The newly named NRG Stadium is expected to see its signage changed from “Reliant” to “NRG” in June as NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE: NRG) prepares to install a slew of energy sustainability upgrades in and outside the stadium, said Elizabeth Killinger, NRG retail Texas president.

NRG Energy Inc. will add electric vehicle charging stations outside of the newly renamed NRG Stadium, along with solar panel canopies over pedestrian walkways.

The overall NRG Park will have a total of 700 solar panels, up to 456 LED field lights and four kiosks for charging mobile phones.

A bridge that has gone mostly overlooked is the Continental Pedestrian Bridge which parallels the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. This will make this area even nicer and will further connect the east side of the Trinity to West Dallas. Really looking forward to it opening this summer.

I agree, just like Globe Life Park is still referred to as Rangers Ballpark. Reliant and Rangers Ballpark just seem to roll out your tongue easier.

I've always called it "The Ballpark" or "The Ballpark in Arlington."

In reference to the NRG park upgrades, I think the solar panels are cool. Advanced technology is always a welcome anywhere.
