My fiancee and I are planning on moving to Texas in July 2007. We have three children; 6 years, 2 years, and 4 months. The problem is we aren't sure where to move that won't pos a problem for our children or us. We are an interracial couple, he's white and I am black. My father is in the army, station in Killeen, and we were considering Beaumont, it's not extremely close not too far away, but we are not sure . We are really excited about the move , my 6 year old is even more excited then we are . We would also like to pick a beautiful place near the water, not too expensive, to get married on August 4 2007 . If anyone has any suggestion to help us, I am open to them.

Where would be the best area to raise a family and have a successful career in the real estate field?

Shawnda:
FT. Hood where your father is probably stationed, is in the city of Killeen. I live in Copperas Cove, a lot smaller. Interracial couples are many here and prejudice is a fact of life everywhere. There is a real good mix of people here because of the Army post 100,000.00 soldier home of two divisions. This makes real estate good business here. Other good paying jobs are hard to come by unless you work at the Army Post. Beaumont has plenty of work but you got a lot of chemical sells from the refineries. Checkout Salado and some of the surrounding areas. I have lived in Texas forever, I retired from the Air Force and spent 10 years in Ft. Hood. The location is good your between Austin,Dallas, Houston and San Antonio lots to do.
