Is there anyone out there familiar with Laredo, Tx. We have purchased land out there and are taking a trip in mid June to take one more look for our final decision, I would like info on schools, shopping, etc...

Copied from the other thread you asked this in.

Laredo is one of the fastest growing areas in Texas, but it is also one of the most dangerous.Drug wars are breaking out between drug lords on both sides of the border.I have friends who have to go down there occasionally to work because the company in Laredo cannot keep up with all the growth, and they hate it and won't go into certain areas.I would double and triple check the situation before moving there, especially if your information is a little old.

Default Laredo Texas

I've been to Laredo and Nuevo Laredo many times for shopping. Now with the high crime across the border and the high gas prices, I just shop here in San Antonio for the same things you can buy in Nuevo Laredo. I like Del Rio better than Laredo (Del Rio has a nice lake).
