Is there anyone out there who uses Texas Tech Independent School District distance learning? We're homeschooling and are considering it for my son in 6th grade.

It really sounds great--a total grade ciriculum, all approved by the TEA, you mail or fax in assignments and they are graded by a certified teacher, all credits are fully approved for Texas Schools, can even get college credits through them.

It sounds great because its difficult to pull together a ciriculum, this is all together for you, with timelines, etc and is fully approved, with report cards, etc that are fully transferrable to any public or private school in Texas (probably to any school in the country).

There is a cost, about $480/semester for tuition, plus cost of books, can be $300--$400+ depending on the courses.

I would like to hear from anyone who has used this program, pros and cons, thanks!
