Hi, everyone. Have you people noticed that there is a chill in the air? That only means that fall is here. So, let's gather around that ever-appropriate computer campfire because it's that time of year again. I know, I know --- we Texans don't really think that it's one of the four seasons because it's always so dang hot in our dearly beloved state and that we think summer actually extends into Thanksgiving. But there's that aforementioned chill outside. Football's in full swing, people are talking about what size turkey they plan to get in November, and the leaves are changing. But I'd like to hear from you about fall. Are you glad it's here? In a way, I am, even though I do prefer the warm-weather months and spring time. Every now and then, I like a little change, and a little cooler weather is good. Are you glad fall is here? I'll include a poll, too, to gauge your feelings.

You can share your thoughts about fall in Texas right here. This is where all the action is. Let 'er rip!

There is no place like East Texas in the fall. We live in a lake side community and to the the trees turning red, brown, gold ...and all while they reflect in the lakes. WOW! All the festivals add to the atmosphere. Everyone in our neighborhood decorates.

Yeah, destin, it is time for decorations. It seems like they get earlier every year.

I picked the response, "no, and please pass the sunscreen". Im not sure why someone would need to pass the sunscreen, as the amount of sun here in winter (last time I was here) was scarce.

With this type of 'chill', the cold air just zips right down into my lungs and chokes me up everytime. These last couple of days have been a dreary reminder of my dislike for Texas cold. Luckily today the sun came out, I was actually surprised. I guess those artificial UV lights can wait.

Yesterday...rainy and cold, what a drag. Is this the kind of weather people like? Because I assume it only deteriates as the season goes on. We'll see how it really turns out. Im sure by next week it'll be freezing, by then...luckily i'll be in the Carribean when it does.

Yo, it was real dang nice out there the last couple of days. It can stay this way, little cooler, little warmer but I don't like being cold. Just. Don't. Like. It.

Football weather... Hook 'Em Horns \m/

Fall is the BEST time of year in Texas...and here in NM, too.....after all, I have pretty much the same climate I had in West Texas...just a little cooler and drier!

So...bring it on...and winter, too!!!

Default Re: fall

My favorite season of the year by far. Unfortunately it has seemed warmer than normal until now, at least in SA. I guess it makes this weather even sweeter. Monday it's supposed to be even colder, and Monday night might get down to 38!

Btw Lubbock froze last night, barely. Its first freeze is usually around Halloween. (Speaking of which, I go to a certain football game there the next day...can't wait. I'll be wearing red and black, if you want to look for me on TV .)
