thanx for all of your replies so far.
We will be flying into DFW on January 11th, from there we head down to Galveston, after that, we are goung to head for Lockhart and then to San Antonio and Corpus. We have roughly 10 days after that to travel around TX, as our return flight is on January 27th.
Doss, Frederickburg and Luckenbach are a must and we will travel there after Corpus. We will be using a car for the whole time, so no flights in between.
On our way, we will be looking for some GREAT dancehalls or at least some really good, authentic places to spend an evening, if possible we would like to see some good live country music, see some beautiful scenery and then, just have an awesome time on our roadtrip.
Greetings, Robin

If you can fit it in, Enchanted Rock or Garner State Park are very scenic and not too far away from Fredericksburg.I recommend stopping in Austin and seeing the State Capitol.
