Hello Everyone. My husband and I are moving back to Texas from KY. It seems that I will be working at one of the hospitals in the Denton area and will need to get an apartment for the next few months. We are not too familiar with this area. Visited family in Canton a year ago and lived in the League City area up to Feb 2008.

So what I am seeking is any advice/information on apartments in the area. It will be us and our 10 lb terrier (dog). Children are grown and out on their on. Also if maybe looking in another area would be best yet still keep me within decent driving distance. Will be taking on call sometimes and would rather be within the 30 min. limit. I did attempt to read through other postings here but most seem to be about where to buy a house. That is something way down the road. Just need to get a decent place which means basically quiet, safe to walk out to your car at night and walk the four legged. We are looking at being there by Dec. 01, 2008.

Thanks for any help.
Silver

There are plenty of apartments near Loop 288 and I-35. But there's an exciting, new place you may want to check out.

Here's a link for you:

Rayzor Ranch | Denton, Texas

Now, that will still be under construction at this time (won't be ready by December), but you may want to consider it later when some units get done, if you wish.

Thank you for the information. I am hoping to move into a lease house after six months and the apt would be a temporary fix. What I was trying to find out are which apartments have a better reputation meaning that the place is quiet and basically safe. Also if I needed to expand my area of search. Anyway I do appreciate the response.
